Description

The People's Voice was "a free newsletter on issues of concern to low income Vermonters" and published by the Central Vermont Community Action Council, Inc. in conjunction with Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity and North East Kingdom Community Action, Inc. from 1972 through the 1990. The Central Vermont Community Action Council was founded in 1965 during the War on Poverty and operated in Washington, Lamoille and Orange Counties to "help local people achieve economic sufficiency through individual and family development." Its offices were in Barre, Vermont.
